OAKEY/HAYMER

Post by GlobalBox »

What happened to this one then, must have been asleep and missed the call off of the fight, I was looking forward to this thought it might be a decent little scrap for a few rounds.

Anyone know why its off, Sky have taken it off the schedule and we have Guzman/Soto, still prefer the life fights if possible but there we go

New date?

it was postponed because of the cuts Tony recieved in his draw against Magee, should be back on in the new year.

Is that a wind up? Wasnt this fight a draw

I watched it live, and Magee pasted him the whole night, watched it on tv and it looked like Oakey was doing most of the work bizarely!

Ah well, Magee fights next week in Belfast, on the mcculllogh bill.

Yeah i watched it on TV and thought it seemed a fair result, i was leaning more towards Tony at the end.

The draw doesn't seem to have done much harm to either boxers career, both can still move on and up. Although i do find Magee's fights end up a bit of a maul, not great for TV
