Manny Seamon and Joe Louis

someone asked who trained Joe Louis after Jack Blackburn died, but I can't remember the thread . The question specifially mentioned the Abe Simon fights. Manny Seamon was a trainer in the Joe Louis camp even when Blackburn was alive, and he was the main trainer after Blackburn was gone. I'm not sure if he was there for all the fights, but it's a good guess he was there for those. I do know he was Louis' trainer for the first Billy Conn fight, and is responsible for one of those great Joe Louis quotes. Seamon was noted for chjewing on cigars all through the fights. When The Bomber knocked out Billy Conn when it looked as if might be losing his title,after his hand was raised he went to his corner and with that great coolness under fire and quick wit he just looked at Seamon and said, "How many seegars did you swallow, Manny?"
