Danny Williams (v Platov)

Post by fatman »

is Williams fighting Platov next weekend? i've not seen any news about this fight, thought Williams looked a little shot v Gammer, still his class got him through, still probably capable of taking Platov out with one shot.

Wouldn't say shot, more a case of Gammer fighting well early on and Danny weathering the storm before outlasting the Welshman.

Does anybody else find the career of Danny Williams incredibly frustrating.

As a youngster he was outstanding... am I right in thinking he blazed through the amateurs?

The natural talent is obviously there, but I am just not sure he ever really wanted to be a fighter?

Once he is the ring and has the pressure on him, he has the heart of a lion, (Potter and Tyson...). But I'm not sure he wants to be there in the first place. He has lost to several fighters notches below him.

He could have fooled me when he hit Micheal Sprott low then KOed him when he complained. Seemed to me at that point like someone who had no problem being a nasty bastard.
