HBO commentary very kind to Hatton

I watched the fight live on a foreign channel (with the volume down) and therefor was un-influenced in any way by commentary. Here was my take on it:

I never really had Hatton in the fight, he was running Mayweather up against the ropes all night but doing no effective work on the inside. I did not see him land a clean punch all night. He concentrated on head shots but they clearly carried little power, were all of target and only did damage to his own stamina. I seen it as an easy nights work for Floyd, i gave him every round bar the 5th and cannot see how anyone could have scored it close.

Then, i watched the fight again yesterday with HBO commentary and was quite amazed to hear some of their comments. Manny Steward saying he'd never seen Mayweather under such pressure etc. Lederman, i think, had Hatton even or ahead after about 6 rounds. It was not until around the second half of the fight before they started to realise that Hatton was out of it. Quite shocking really.

It is quite easy for commentary to influence your take on a fight and i'm sure many of the viewing American public thought Hatton was doing a whole lot better than he actually was, or should i say, a whole lot better than i thought he was. Given that, his stock in America may not have plummeted as much as i originally conceived it would.

Does anyone know of a link where i can watch the fight with Sky commentary? How were they seeing the fight as it rolled along?

I listened to the fight on 5live, I think the only rounds they gave to Hatton was the 1st and maybe the 5th.

They were in no doubt who was on top for the rest of the fight, from what I could gather after listening to it and not actually watching it, Mayweather won easily and Hatton was out of his depth.

BTW I forgot how shit it is listening to Boxing on the radio, the last one I listened to was the first Tyson-Bruno fight all them years ago. For some reason I can remember thinking that it was great then........not now !!!!
