does hatton owe his fans a fight in manchester???

he hasnt fought there in 2 years and has had amazing supoort from fight fans from the uk / manchester

so should he give the fans a fight in the uk rather than the fans paying lots of £s to watch him in the usa

surely his first comeback fight should be at home?

Be great to see him back in the UK - but perhaps his profile and HBO backing will demand a bigger fight that will be in the States. Who would he get aside from ODLH to come to the UK?

Didn't allegedly sign an exclusive deal with the MEN to scupper this kind of thing though?

I guess it would have to be at the City Of Manchester stadium

he wouldn't even let Hatton fight on ITV because he had 1 fight in an exclusivity deal left. if the MEN are stuid enough to do that when Hatton is the big Manchester attraction, more fvck them.

I don't think Hatton "owes" his fans a fight in Manchester to be honest.

The majority of the "fans" who went to Vegas at the weekend should be saying thankyou to him!
If it was'nt for Ricky, they would'nt have gone and had such a cracking time

I reckon Hatton fights Malignaggi next at "The Garden".
Could well be his final fight too(going out on a victory in one of the most famous sporting venues on the planet)

I didn't know Hatton had fallen out with Fight Academy. How come his bridges are burnt with Hobson? Dennis and his team not happy about Ricky hooking up with DLH and the yanks?

No its a shame Castillo would be good exposure for Witter but Castillos going to get beat up by Margarito instead

What venue would they use? The MEN is still under contract to SN isn't it?

I reckon the Hatton's should try and get an outdoor fight in summer in June against Malignaggi at the City of Manchester Stadium. I'm sure it could be done, and Malignaggi could get a nice payday out of it too.

I think BC in a post months ago, alluded to the fact that the Hatton's basically used Hobson for his promoters licence and then whatever deal they had expired, Hatton buggered off to Goldenboy.

Hatton doesn't owe his fans anythign in honesty although it would be nice for him to have a homecoming fight or maybe the last fight of his career back here...Right now though I think a couple of big fight's in the US are called for.

just asking whether they are, hence my ambiguous comment

Hatton would need someone who can put a fight on at a big venue. If places like the MEN give promoters exclusive deals they will live to regret it.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of SN and the Hattons teaming up for the home coming. They seemed to bury some of their differences when they met in court (well it was an out of court agreement)

Maybe, but I bet he would change his mind if they offered him a few million dollars, and with a massive crowd of 30-40,000, they could afford it took. I know the venue itself would probably be expensive, but surely there's got to be some way this could be done.

I'd like to see ricky back in the UK again, with maybe one fight before the DLH fight. Of course, if he lost then Oscar would no longer be interested.

I agree I don't think he owes us anything.

We all know that Hatton is only going to box on for 2 (maybe 3) fights more so Malignaggi at The Garden followed by Witter at either the O2, City of Manchester or, preferably Wembley would suit me fine.

Don't think he should fight ODLH and it's too early in Rees' career to fight Hatton.
