I don't think Arthur vs Foster is a great fight - I'm not sure what Foster has done to deserve a shot either.
I know we got a few mancs on here who think Foster can do the business, and I would like to see it happen if I am being honest, but I see this as just one of those easy matches for SN to throw together and bring a few shillings in.

This card is pretty bad even by SN standards. Foster doesnt deserve his shot, he's beat absolutely noone.
As for the undercard, you've got a couple of decent fighters in Ricky Burns and Willie Limond but neither has an opponent only days before the fight. You just know they'll end up boxing a couple of journeymen with losing records. Why is allegedly totally incapable of matching boxers in competitive fights? Its a fvcking joke.

wouldnt say that, gary seems a genuine guy who wants to fight, but he does need to prove himself after that mcneil loss.bigped wrote:so it was gary that pulled out?what was the reason...spud66 wrote:Gary Young is always pulling out injured since McNeil beat him...he only fights if its 100% he wins the bout
saying that mcneil is a good fighte only been beaten when fighting above his weight and at late notice

I wonder which fights Setenta will show.

Hi Chesh its the kitchen for my missus, for the same show - Lets hope my prediction for X Factor works out better than the boxing - Rhydian just has to win, that all smiles sickly brother and sister act are awful.chesh wrote:Waylon, it's on at 8.20, so I'll be sending the missus off to the bedroom to watch the rest of X Factor while I tune into Setanta.WildWaylon wrote:Cheers pal - When I came back to Boxrec there was an advert for the fight, but thanks anyway.pm wrote:The fight isn't til tomorrow!! Chesh, people seem to think the supposedly nasty Simon Cowell is the first to play that role in a show looking to find a new star - Do you remember Tony Hatch, he was every bit as nasty and had the most smackable face on TV at that time - Married to Jackie Trent and wrote hits for Peculier Clark and others, Downtown and the Neighbours theme tune etc etc - By the way Pet Clarks paid nanny also looked after me when I was a young boy after school etc - The big difference was my parents were quite poor and she did it as a favour living nearby.
Yes, I remember Tony Hatch well, Waylon. The original "Mr. Nasty". The show was "New Faces", a rival to "Opportunity Knocks". A 16-year old Lenny Henry got his break there, as did the late Marti Caine. I think it was presented by Derek Hobson who also presented "Mr & Mrs". You're right about Tony Hatch - the type of face you'd never tire of twatting! I think he also wrote the Thames TV theme tune which earned him a fortune as it was played about fifty times a day. Those Pet Clark somgs were pretty good though. My predictions for tonight: AAA TKO 9 and Rhyddian on points.WildWaylon wrote:Chesh, people seem to think the supposedly nasty Simon Cowell is the first to play that role in a show looking to find a new star - Do you remember Tony Hatch, he was every bit as nasty and had the most smackable face on TV at that time - Married to Jackie Trent and wrote hits for Peculier Clark and others, Downtown and the Neighbours theme tune etc etc - By the way Pet Clarks paid nanny also looked after me when I was a young boy after school etc - The big difference was my parents were quite poor and she did it as a favour living nearby.
