Skelton WBA title shot
Fair play to Skelton for getting a shot, he seems a nice guy.
If I have to be honest though I think it would be very bad for boxing if he won. The thoughts of a Williams-Sprott-Harrison box off to see who fights him next would be sickening. That and the fact that I'd rather the "less informed" not know who the current world heavyweight champions are than to know Skelton is one of them.

so frank delivered on his promise of giving one of the big boys a title shot.
i think skelton has a good shot, provided he stays away from all that bull shit farting about he beat danny williams with in cardiff. i think he needs to come in heavy and use his spoiler tactics like he did in his 'defeat' against danny. one things for sure, though, he wont be able to just turn up an go through the motions like he did against sprott.

Well he could potentialy win but it just means the same thing that everyone else has thought. That the heavyweight title isn't very meaningful at the moment. In a couple of years a fighter will come allong to give it some meaning until then we will have substandard fellows like skelton in with a shot.
The former kick boxing champion to world champion thing will be okay hype I guess.

On average and in general as a race they have little upper body strength thats why they ain't great at football. They have proffesional football so probably wouldn't object to pro boxing.Sammy Mendelson wrote:Have the Chinese got a decent 91KG+ boxer that they are going to roll out for the olympics? What is their current policy on pro boxing? A billion men or more in that country, they must be able to produce a worldbeater.

I don't know about boxers, but China does have some very big guys. The tallest man in the world is Chinese, and there's a basketball player who's something like 7'7". I'm sure in a country of 1.5bn people, they'll have the occasional heavyweight.Chambers2 wrote:Have Samoa got any straw-weights going to the Olympics??Sammy Mendelson wrote:Have the Chinese got a decent 91KG+ boxer that they are going to roll out for the olympics?
But having been to Samoa, I can vouch for them not sending any strawweights to the Olympics, unless it's a 9-year-old girl.

Do you know something, if Skelton won the WBA title Fraudley Harrison would start mouthing off Skelton building up hype to get a crack at him. Do you know what a state boxing would be in if he actually defended against Harrison purley for monetary purposses and got beat.
Fraudley Harrison would be WBA Heavyweight Champion of the World!
this is a bad thought!!!!!!!

Better a former Olympic champion than a former K1 kick boxer in my view. If Harrison beat skelton then fair play but he would be dissabused if he tried to unify I imagen.mimmy123 wrote:Do you know something, if Skelton won the WBA title Fraudley Harrison would start mouthing off Skelton building up hype to get a crack at him.
