Scott Harrison comeback

Apparently he's been training for a while and wants to get back in the ring around march.

How do people see this one going? If he's back to his best can he win back his world title, or have all his old problems meant he's missed out on what should have been his prime years?

Former world featherweight champion Scott Harrison has pencilled in a March comeback after declaring himself "officially back".

The Scot, 30, has not fought for more than two years after battling alcohol abuse and depression, while he also has to face outstanding assault charges in Spain and Scotland.

But after apparently conquering his demons and linking up once again with promoter allegedly, a fit-again Harrison insists he is finally ready to return to the ring.

"I've been training for three months and feel great," he told the Daily Mirror.

"I hope to fight in March. I can't wait to get back in the ring and put on a good show for everyone.

"I definitely think I will become a world champion again and I've done it twice before. Scott Harrison is officially back."

The former WBO featherweight champion - who has applied to the British Boxing Board of Control to have his licence reinstated - claims his drinking problems are a thing of the past.

"The last two years have been an absolute nightmare," he said.

"I'd been fighting since I was 15 and so for Scott Harrison not to fight was a total shock.

"But I'm in brilliant condition now, excellent physical condition, and the last time I had a drink was so long ago, I can't remember."

I hope he comes back and does well, I'd be interested to know what weight hes coming back at though. I hope he can make Super-Feather, so we can pair off Arthur and Harrison after a few impressive comeback bouts

Harrison Vs Alex Arthur should be his comeback goal. All Scotland showdown, potentialy for a world title if Guzman moves up and would be a great pay day for both.

I wouldn't think he'd be back at 126 thats for sure. His body wouldn't handle it too well. 130lbs will be a good shout for a payday against Arthur but I imagine any comeback might come at around 135ish. Arthur hasn't got that many 130's left in him either.

Will never forget it but I'm glad he has never been the same. He's been a lot better!!! Better defence, better punch variety and the punches he's putting together are more hurtful and break his opponents down quicker.

Arthur for world champion!! Gomez who? Love it!!

Scott will be training with John Breen in Belfast in the New Year and will be back at Super Featherweight. Good luck to him and if they can get Scott back to winning ways, Harrison Vs Arthur would be massive and hopefully for the full WBO title.

Scott was at the Khan fight last weekend.

He was introduced to the crowd between fights by the MC.

MC said 'Scott will be boxing very soon in the New Year', so presumably he is back with Sports Network.

Lets hope Scot gets through the New Year celebrations OK - Good to see he is fighting the demons and lets hope he can succeed in the ring as well - A fight with AA would be terrific.
