I knew Hatton would split from Billy Graham, Hatton's way of trying to shift blame, he is in denial.

Hatton leaving Graham is too little too late.

Who would bet money on Hatton' s next coach being Enzo Calzaghe?

Thought the same thing today mate. Only viable options I see are:

Calzaghe - Presumably would have to be signing back with SN
Roach - Might sign with GBP.

Eh? Am I missing something here? Has Hatton split from Graham then?

That's the growing rumour. Spud touched on it earlier this week. Could be coincidence or SN just creating Chinese Whispers.

Only a rumour on the home page, but i thought this would happen
after the manner of the defeat and how badly Hatton took it.

Also an American poster on another site said someting about Hatton & Graham arguing just before the fight.

Hatton knows he can't make the changes to his phisical make up and style that would be needed to have a sucessful "second career".

Hatton is desperate and clutching at straws.

THere are some rumers on ESB if it is true its probably a good move becasue I think hatton needs to start jabbing again badly. If thats true then he will not be fighting Witter soon.

Exactly why I think Roach or Calzaghe are his only options, as they can change a fighters make up even late in their career. An outsider could be McGirt, as he had some success with Gatti, but not much.

God, I hope he doesn't leave it to his Dad.

No trainer will make a difference now anyway, Hatton now has too many miles on the clock.

I bet Hatton's punch resistance will have dipped after what PBF done to him and that was one of his best assets.

Manny Stewart?
I personally don't rate Steward as much as 5 years ago. He did wonders with Lewis, but the jury is still out on Cintron and Taylor regressed, badly.

I disagree, Roach did wonders with Pacman (and Manfredo to a certain degree) transforming him from a brawler and Calzaghe's record speaks for itself.

I can't remember exactly when Roach took over pacman but i reccon Manny was still a young fighter and he had a lot more to work with stylisticly.

Hatton has gone too far down the road to change his style now.....Hatton never had great head movement anyway.

Hatton put too much into this exbodybuilder as a conditioner and hitting a static bodybag in place of quality sparring and working on new moves.

Hatton is done, someone stick a fork in him.

He was 26, only 3 years difference.

Can you see Enzo standing for the Hatton entourage and the way he ballons between fights?

Might be what Hatton needs but can't see the hassle is worth Enzo's time, with the risk of disturbing the harmony at the gym.

Hasn't Enzo got some type of exculsive deal with SN??

I think hatton can chainge his style cos part of it is going back to doing what he used to do, ie working off his jab a bit more rather than confusing fighting with his face as an "all action style". Don't know how much he has on the clock realy, I thought he was gone when he fought Collozo but he proved me wrong.

In terms of Stewart I respect him cos when he talks about fighting he seems more insightful than any of the others. Also seems to be Don Kings favorate and that guy knows his boxing.

Do you think Stewart is better with fighters he's brought through? Taylor seems to have regressed and who can forget some of the things he said to Naz in his corner. Was it the MAB fight that all he said was you need a knockout, you need a knockout??

Steward likes rangy guy's who can box. All his best fighters have been that way. Definitely not the right trainer for Hatton.

I think it's gonna go down hill for Hatton from here. He's looked like s**t for quite awhile, but he's been getting away with the bad habits he's gotten into, because the competition wasn't up to standard. Now he's lost and the talk is he's already looking for a new trainer. Maybe Billy Graham is responsible for the hitting and hugging tactics Hatton has adopted, but it's a bit late to try and change things at 29.

Is Graham responsible? Or is Graham adapting the tactics to suit Hatton and his conditioning? We've all been saying for years that eventually his lifestyle will catch up with him, so perhaps these tactics are a way of prolonging Hatton's career? If so its a job well done.

It would be quite funny considering Hatton was in last Saturday's Sun saying that there was no way he'd ever have another trainer than Billy Graham. But then again, we've heard this 'no way' bullshit from Hatton about the Mayweather fight, how Mayweather didn't stand a cat in hell's chance. Hatton is a big, big talker who just does not walk the walk. So it wouldn't suprise me.
