Duddy v Vanda
See that Matt Vanda is the opponent for Duddy, not a step on in quality here. Vanda is a neat boxer with a good chin, but on the downside of his career.

Vanda is just a sacrificial lamb for Duddy as they aim for a shot at Pavlik. Also Sebastian Sylvester's name for the European is being mentioned by Brian Peters but after Sylvester's mandatory.
Emmanuel Steward fancies an all Ireland showdown with Andy Lee for a world title. Anyone fancy the Duddy win in that one? Seems Lee is becoming the better all rounder.

Calzaghe(and probably Kessler) would stop Pavlik within 6-7 rounds.Red Medicine wrote:Awful? He would knock your beloved Calzaghe's head off. Calzaghe has nothing to keep him away, and Pavlik won't freeze up like Kessler and throw only 30 punches a round. Whenever Kessler started throwing leather (like he did in the 12th), he easily outworked Calzaghe and won the round. Pavlik has twice as much power as Kessler too.Max Molyneux wrote:Pavlik as awful as he Is would beat Duddy by his usual out brawling tatics.
Lockett would beat Duddy
I would put my house on that.

Yes of course everyone in Britain holds a grudge against guys from the Mid-West. I can remember my father telling me about their strange ways and odd food.Red Medicine wrote:When is the last time Calzaghe legitimately stopped anyone? His hands would probably shatter if he tried to throw a power punch. Pavlik is the future of the 160 and 168 divisions. You're all just bitter because he happens to be a white midwestern guy. Many great things have come from the midwest - most notably Dillinger Four and the beardcore genre.
There have been protests right across the UK against the influx of people from the Mid-West, questions have been asked in Parliment about what we can do to stop the terrors from the Mid-West.
I personally have installed alarms and a security fence to keeps the buggers out.

Pavlik would get stopped. He's a hype job who won't last long.
Your a terrible analyst If you judge a matchup who he stopped or resume alone.
Easily outworked Calzaghe? Kessler lost 9 rounds to 3 eating many Calzaghe fast straight shots and even In the debatable 12th Calzaghe toyed around outboxing him.

Agreed on Max Calzaghe, complete lack of class and credibilty when it comes to anyone mentioning his beloved hero...

Duddy-Vanda is no longer on the Maskaev-Peter card on February 2nd as has been reported.
It appears that Maskaev-Peter is heading to Mexico which Team Duddy has no interest in participating in since they are hoping to energize their Irish-American fan base. Kinda hard to do that from Mexico.
Where Duddy-Vanda lands is still being worked out.

Another meaningless fight for Duddy. This is getting frustrating.Old bones Ian wrote:See that Matt Vanda is the opponent for Duddy, not a step on in quality here. Vanda is a neat boxer with a good chin, but on the downside of his career.

steve689 wrote:Lockett would not destroy Duddy i don't think. Lockett has never fought anyone near Duddy's current level no matter the level he may aspire to if he improves under Don Turner. For all Duddy's faults and poor defence, Lockett's best win is over Ryan Rhodes and has had his peak wasted.
Duddy is all over the place, Lockett would knock him out inside three rounds.
There is plenty more to see from Lockett. You'll eat those words Steven

I felt sick reading that - I hope you dont actually believe that. Locketts record is pumped full of pish (bit like his stable mate)JimmyJamJerusalem wrote:steve689 wrote:Lockett would not destroy Duddy i don't think. You think Lockett sat there twisting his moustache looking for his next easy opponent??
You think he was happy who his next opponent was?
You think he has any input who he faces?
The answer to all the above is NO.
That's the way the game is.
As can be seen from my posts i am not having a pop so much at Lockett as at his handlers. Spurious fights, WBU titles and meaningless fodder have wasted away his peak years IMO. He is knocking on 30 and hasn't had a defining fight for a credible title. Why the kid gloves? He is being stifled by the business.
