On the slippery winter roads in Michigan, the car J'Leon Love was riding in crashed into another car. This happened on his was home from the Michigan LBC open tournament. He suffered a gash to his head and broke a vertebrae in his neck, but his prognosis is good. He will be out of boxing for at least a month, but it could be longer.
Damn, I met J'Leon at Ringside and he was one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of meeting. Damn good boxer and all around person. All the best to Jay, I look forward to him recovering and hopefully seeing him at Nationals or GG this year (though not in the opposite corner!)
Yeah, he is an all around good guy and it is a shame that he had to get injured in that way. I'm glad to hear that people from other parts of the country feel the same way.
