A hard choice as they are and were all great fighters.

Roy Jones was a better middle than Gerald. I know gerald beat him as an amateur, but I believe Roy got revenge where it mattered most...in the Olympic Trials.

As for your question. The best middleweights of all time are:

1) Sugar Ray Robinson
2) Carlos Monzon
3) Harry Greb

Not in any order:

Stanley Ketchel

Harry Greb

Sugar Ray Robinson

'cause they held their belts or/rewon their belts, dominating their divisions and moving up and beating several men bigger than them. Ketchel knocked out the light heavy champ at the time but it wasn't for the belt and of course fought for the heavy title. He also had a legitimate claim to the welter crown as well but moved up to middle shortly. Greb fought everybody and even beat Tunney. Robinson dominated welter, middle and rose to light heavy (almost winning the crown there as well)
