Joe Frazier vs Rod Stander May 25, 1972. Joe by 5th Rd. TKO. Stander brawled for 2 Rds. Then he suffered some very bad cuts and the fight had to be stopped. The 2 Rds. he was competetive and was always game.

I guess I'm getting a little absent minded or maybe to much boxing on the brain. But the correct trivia answer was Joe Frazier vs Jimmy Ellis II 1975. It was won by Joe on a 9th round TKO. It was fight in Melbourne Australia. Also my description of the Frazier Stander was correct except Foster was not the middle man.

Foster said something like...Getting hit by Frazier was like getting hit by a truck.

Terap...i agree. both Moore and Johnson were experts at turning a defensive move into an attack. Moore's turtle shell would have been hard for the long armed Foster to get through, and Archie punched as hard as many if not most heavyweights. Johnson was a marvel, and the best chance I could give to Foster here is Harold's not so good chin..but I think he had the overall general ring skills to win.
