VIP ANNOUNCE THEIR FIRST SHOW OF THE YEAR 2008

VIP Promotions will kick off the year 2008 with a show at the Circus Arena ,inside the Famous Old Blackpool Tower on February 16th 2008. It will be an 8 fight show and will feature the following boxers :

BRIAN ROSE - Will top the bill in his home town - Undefeated in 7 fights at Light-middleweight and a well known seasider !

MARTIN MURRAY - Mr Popular from St Helens, already has a large following after only 2 winning starts as a pro and should help ensure a sell out.

CHRIS JOHNSON - Only down the road in Preston and should also attract good support as he builds on 6 wins since a debut loss.

ALEX MATTVIENKO - Bolton’s one man riot always brings a crowd and excitement to a show

RICK GODDINS - Another Bolton lad who took a large contingent from the Green Barn pub to see his winning pro debut in December.

JON KAYS - Looks to continue his impressive start as a pro and move to 4-0 , took 100 tickets for his Manchester fans.

JACK ARNFIELD - The 18 year old has looked good moving swiftly to 3-0 since turning pro and has promised to sell a load for his first hometown show

JEFF THOMAS
- Another Blackpool lad who is looking forward to fighting at home on his comeback trail.

Tickets priced £30.00 balcony and £40.00 outside ringside are available at http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk or from any of the boxers.

MARK THOMPSON – Has been added to the FTM sports card at York Hall on the 1st February 2008 where he will box a 6 round contest

DANNY HARDING - Will be boxing Lee Cook on the same York Hall show and intends to be the one that remains unbeaten.

Harding v Cook is a good even match, nice to see both boxers willing to fight each other early on in thier careers. I'd lean slightly towards Cook , but nothing in it between them really.

I think this is actually on a London York Hall show, Feb 1st, looks like it was included with the Blackpool card by mistake.

Lets hope that they book some competative opposition for these boxers, and then it will be a good show. None of the guys listed above are actually fighting each other, according to BBN. 8 Fights, each of them against an "unscheduled" opponent.

Yeah i think the Blackpool show will be more of a showcase for the local lads, get a bit of experience and exposure for bigger fights ahead.

I would assume its not Dunne V Martinez?

From the billing it looks like a show for up-and-coming boxers.

The Harding/Cook fight has taken ages to be made with both fighters pulling out for different reasons.

I think it will be a mint match up. Danny will get his first KO here.

That fight actually takes place in London on Feb 1st- the day before Khan's London fight.

Poster for the Blackpool show looks good, I'll check out the website.
