1990s welter Franco DiOrio: correction needed

It has come to my attention that the record of 1990s welterweight Franco DiOrio needs to be corrected.

Boxrec.com incorrectly lists Franco's hometown as Springfield, Massachusetts. His correct hometown, in fact, has always been Somerville, Massachusetts.

DiOrio fought professionally between 1984 and 1999, and he accumulated a career record of 29-4-1 (20 kayoes). He is best known for losing a 10 round decision to top-rated Hector "Macho" Camacho in 1994.

The “error” as you say, comes from the “official” ABC registry 2000 FightFax RB
on page 312; which means they got it from the Massachusetts Boxing Commission.

Get that commission to send BoxRec the Official bout sheet for that particular show
and we will be happy to change it.
