I think having Mitchell that high in the rankings would be very premature. If he beats Johanneson in March then he will enter the list, but certainly not that high.

Errm he has done more than Froch currently winning all 3 Brit, Comm and Euro belts then winning a WBO Interim so ranking Arthur higher than Froch Is logical.

I agree with Max, and add that Maccarinelli has not fought better opposition than Arthur either.

Arthur has boxed many decent European and domestic fighters. Who have Froch or Maccarinelli boxed that are so much better?

Martinez was not a big underdog, he was the mandatory challenger and known as a dangerous puncher.

Dunne is perhaps a little high, but I can't see him being that many places lower on a reasonable list.

i would have had Lynes at 11 myself

I would have liked to have raised Lynes higher, but I couldn't justify raising him too many places for beating Tolppola.

ABA - can you (in future) breakdown your fighters by their home nations (e.g. ENG, WAL, SCO) - just so I know.

I do know you that you follow that Amateur game religiously and know it inside out.... but on my one viewing of him, I think Matthew Maguire must be higher than that.

The guy looks like a world pro champion in the making. More impressed with him than Khan in 2004, I have to say.

You assume correctly. I don't know why this is so surprising, he has not faced the best competition as of yet.

Khan and Lynes are no supermen. I don't know why you have such a problem with me ranking an undefeated WBA champion above those two.

Do you think that Rees stands no chance against either of these two?

I would have Rees ahead of both Lynes and Khan on achivement (neither have beaten an M'Baye who regardless of his performance in their fight is fringe world class).

If they were to fight i'd back Khan and Lynes confidently.

ok, stop! its now time for the originator of the thread to establish the meaning of P4P. who is higher in the all time P4P rankings, marciano or ray robinson?
i always thought to get to the P4P top you had to assess the fighters overall prowess and all round ability not the fact that they might have won a world or any other title. so charley burley can never feature in an all time P4P list can he?
