Who is Geard Ajetovic?
Who is Geard Ajetovic?
He appears to be the main support on the upcoming Friday show in Durham - Boxrec have him as a Serbian, from the charming village of " Beoin " .
Now based in the village of Preston, in the quaint county of Lanc%6^ire.
Seriously, though- who is this guy?

I've seen him against Maxwell and on Eurosport against some French dude - he's a class fighter but as people say - looks to be a bit lazy at times. He'd give anyone at domestic and possibly euro level a good tussle thats for sure. Btw Preston is a town not a village - I should know, I was born there

Saw him fight Dimitry Donetskiy (who in the Southampton press was talked about as the second coming due to his amateur pedigree) and he was great for the first few rounds, quick, speed, great combinations then he lost interest and let Dimitry back into it and I had it even going into the last round when he suddenly found his spark and got stuck in.
Think he's another Eric Teymour and Obah, really dangerous and as such people don't want to fight them.

Geard Ajetovic has been sparring Tony Dobson recently, unfortunatly Dobson injured his back in one of those sessions, so has had to call off his english super-middle title defense against Paul David.
Ajetovic has also sparred Nigel Wright to help Nigel prepare for Olusegun.
Maybe Geard brings that sparmate mentality into actual bouts, as he does seem to drift in fight, maybe thinking he's a class above the boxer he's fighting.
He's also listed as a silver medalist in the 2002 world amateur championships, but was there championships that year?

Scroll down under the Woods report and you'll see my take on him. He's one of my favourite fighters. I mean it. Really classy when he can be arsed. Seriously - in this day and age he should be a world champ.
Go into 'News' on BBN and bang in his surname in the search panel for more.
I should be going tomorrow night and am looking forward to seeing the bout.
Now a city, actually! 8)black panther wrote:Btw Preston is a town not a village - I should know, I was born there
He is fighting a guy from Tanzania, not sure what to expect- we shall see. He recently fought in Tanzania at a "luxury pub" no less! Sounds pretty cool, if you ask me. If I ever go to Tanzania, I will visit this luxury pub and watch a little boxing!

Big four. That's if he's been doing what I think - and that's operating at about 50%, even when he's been at his best.stujones wrote:Ajectovic scored a decent win after the Maxwell bout in a fight televised by Eurosport.
When you mean World champ, do you mean big 4 or any of the 20 or so organisations, Ian?
Yeah, he did seem to have a tremendous pedigree - I remember Elliot Worsell backing him to the hilt when he turned pro.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Big four. I can only judge on his TV fights - not sure if he had the handspeed of a world champion - thats something in which it is hard to improve.... but yes, very good fighter who could definately do better - that just on his actually performances (let alone his training - which I know nothing about).

Bit harsh but actually I have to agree. Full of scallys(chavs),addicts and a fairly rascist place to boot, despite a decent-sized asian community( alot of whom are tossers as well - half of them are my relations!.E wrote:whicker wrote:Now a city, actually! 8)black panther wrote:Btw Preston is a town not a village - I should know, I was born there
That's merely semantics.
Basically it's a sh1thole, whatever size it may be....
Things look promising for Geard if he can sucessfully come through tonight's bout in style!!!!
