Michael Brodie comeback

Jamie Moore mentioned it last week at York Hall and today it's been confirmed in BN. Brodie reckons he's got "three or four" years left in the sport.

I wish him all the best but I always find announcements like this a bit sad as it seems to suggest that he hasn't found happiness elsewhere. I think comebacks are often the wrong way to address this issue - the fighter will still have to face it, usually having taken a few more beatings.

Maybre, but not sure at what level.

Didnpt he win the Lonsdale belt outright - he had the Commonwealth and European.

Maybe he will go toe WBU Route if he signs with Fwanky, maybe he wants Khan?

yeah let's see what he's like at british level first.

he looked horrible in his last 2 fights.

the 1st chi fight took an awful lot from him.

What's the point in that, though? He's won IBO and WBF belts, not to mention British, Euro and Commonwealth. Let's face it, he won't win a big 4 belt, and is there any value in recpaturing any of the above?

Very good fighter in his day. Saw him at Wythenshawe, Manchester, on the same show as Carl Thompson-Ezra Sellars. Spoke to him briefly afterwards. Seemed like a good lad.

I'd guess he's come back for the money, as he has, I believe, been through a costly divorce since retiring. Didn't he also open a pub in Gorton without success? I bet Terry knows. I wish him well and hope he makes a few bob without getting badly hurt.

Unfortunate that a brave lad like Brodie has to come back at this stage.

Hope he doesn't get a battering and can make a few bob.

Wonder if he'll be looking for a rematch with Harrison?

Almost cries out for the start of a "seniors" tour on the domestic circuit

Undercards to bigger fights could be filled with older warriors fighting 4 x 3's with bigger gloves and less stringent weight restrictions.

That way, they could earn money and the fans could get better VFM by seeing domestic 'name" fighters from the recent past showing their skills while not getting battered by young bucks who would not have been able to get in the ring with them in their heyday
