Copa Independencia

Post by lap »

Just starting a topic for when/if we get info.

For one, I'm glad to see JC Payano is still on the circuit, going for the Olympics, even though he skipped the Worlds'.

Payano missed the Worlds due to being overweight and arriving late to camp. One who will miss the Copa Independiencia is cuban world champion (2005) Yordenis Ugas who got a temporary suspension due to indiscipline.

Glad to hear it (sort of - it's better than him having a serious injury). With McWilliams Arroyo, he was my favorite at the Panams last year.

Yes, Bence was beaten in the final. Alfonso is not huge for a super heavyweight. I don't think he weighs more than 100-105 kg. He fought as a 91 kg boxer as a junior (worlds bronze in 2004).
