Charley Johnson v Billy Hawkins - Hawkins was the aggressor in the early rounds, Johnson took the punishment and laughed. This evidently discouraged Hawkins as he took off his gloves and stood outside the ropes, claiming Johnson had fouled him by hugging. The referee disallowed his claim and awarded the bout to Johnson
