Who read the self written Adam Booth article in boxing monthly and is there no limits to this mans ego.
Jose Mourinho please, more like one of those slimy seedy agents who poach players with false promises.
He talks about his boxing career but fails to mention that his nickname around the amateur world was sick note.
Other than David Haye, who is a born talent, and could make a monkey look a good coach what has he done in boxing to make such lofty statements.
I would like to bet as soon as Haye gets beat Jose Booth will be quickly forgotten just as his idol was at Chelsea FC.
A serious warning to any amateur clubs do not let Adam Booth near your boxers.
There has been many one hit wonders in this sport of boxing.
If Haye wins on March 8th it will not be down to what Booth has taught him it will be down to good old natrual talent and punching power.

I don't go in for arse licking. If I did, I'd probably get further. The amount of legal threats I've had to deal with (including for Boxing Monthly) is testament to that.
It was a straight up interview - I didn't call him Jose Mourinho - he said someone else had and laughed about it. I even clearly said he was rather too concerned about his increasing age.
"Because Booth isn’t a former pro fighter or has worked with a large stable of fighters, those in the sport have been prone to look at him with suspicion. This was never more so than after Haye imploded spectacularly and was stopped in five rounds by gnarled Manchester veteran Carl Thompson in September 2004." I wasn't avoiding the issue.
I call them as I see them - ask anyone. And that includes positive stuff as well as negative.
He might be useless, I've no idea. He came across well. But one thing's for sure - in your opinion, he can't win. If Haye gets planted, it's Booth's fault. If Haye wins, it's the boxer's natural talent.

i have seen booth at close quarters and ive liked the way he has handled the press etc, the press conference after the thompson defeat was a classical mesure of the mans qualities, he dealt with the press well.
his skills as a coach are unknown to me, i can only look at the product, the products were/are haye and small, both decent fighters and obvious skills learnt from the pre booth era.
adam is a very good friend of david haye as well as trainer etc, therefore haye has someone he can trust 100% in dealing with his matters and representing himself (haye) when he (haye) is not there. this is important in the often dishonest sport !!!

Bit unfair that, he's also his manager and to-date, as frustrating as it may be to some people and annoying as he can be personally, Adam Booth has done a good job for David Haye and that after all is his only concern.
Are ego's in Boxing a new thing?

When Haye lost to Thompson, Booth had to bear the brunt of the defeat from a lot of people who were quick to say "Booth is not good enough, he should be replaced by a more experienced trainer".
Well, it would have been easy for Haye to blame Adam for the loss, make excuses for the defeat to Carl, but he never did. He stuck it out, remained loyal to Booth & three years later, fighter & trainer are now sitting atop the Cruiserweight division & find themselves in a much more lucrative postion than they have ever been!
Whether you like Booth or not (I personally do) you can't knock what he & Haye have done. At the time of the loss to Thompson, if someone would have claimed Haye would win the Cruiser title with Booth as trainer, no one would have believed it.
Haye & Booth go bakc a long way, started working together when Haye was at Fitzroy Lodge, so there's more to it than trainer/figther, etc. They have both been successful in boxing & I hope they continue to be.
