What if Haye fails weigh in ?

Just wondering what would happen if David Haye does a Jose Castillo and turns up overweight ?? Does the fight go ahead ?
Haye sees this as his last fight at this division so no longer needs belts.
So stripping him would be a worthless excercise as he will be vacating them if he wins.
I wonder what the penalty clauses are in the contracts if there are any ??
Frank is still providing Championship boxing in the Form of Kevin Mitchell V Carl Johannson.

Also will David turn up at 4pm today and weigh in and enzo then weigh in @ 7pm tonight after yesterday anythings possible.

That's a risk when you pick on a fighter who already said he'll never fight at the weight again, and then try to move the weigh in back.

If it happens, Warren only has himself to blame. This fight is just asking for trouble, IMO.

David could make championship limit at Contracted time at 4pm then turn up at 7pm with a good meal inside him and weigh half a stone heavier.
At Least he made the weight as per contract and weigh again for SN & TV sake but over weight.

As Frank said Yesterday this is not the David Haye show i am not waiting around for him.
No but they do seem to be pulling the strings .

It'd just go ahead anyway as a non-title affair, I can't imagine the whole plug being pulled if haye doesn't make the weight. He's gonna be much heavier than Macca on the might anyway so it wouldn't really make that much difference - other than the fact that Macca couldn't add 3 belts to his collection

If he fails the weight - Enzo has the option to either fight him or not. The WBC/WBA titles will be vacant and only Enzo could win them if he beat Haye after making the weight himself. Haye, if overweight could win the fight but would not keep or win the three titles on offer.

If Haye wins, Enzo would retain his WBO title and the WBA/WBC would remain vacant.

Both fighters check weights don't suggest ther is a problem so don't panic, unless Haye went out for a Beer and a Pizza last night!

Oh, and HAye would propbably get his arse sued and have to pay significant damages too.

When a titleholder comes in overweight, the opponent CAN still take his titles with a victory.

This fight falling on it's arse at the eleventh hour seems a realistic proposition to me, especially If Haye is struggling with the weight. If Haye does not make weight then there lies the get out clause.

Im more interested to see what happens with this business of the weigh in time changing.

Will Haye weigh in at 4, and risk a fall out with Warren (who would probably call for him to be stripped etc.)

Exactly. As long as Enzo makes weight (which he will) he is in the driving seat if Haye fails it. I'm sure he'd go ahead with the bout anyway just with a stipulation about how much Haye can enter the ring weighing.

if i was Haye I would be tempted to come in at 215, pay the 20% of the purse and feel a lot better for it :-)

I think it will be ok, Haye test weighed himself at 4pm and not word of him running around Sauna etc.

They just showed a bit of footage of Haye doing a check weigh in at 4pm. His face looked pretty drawn to me. Let's see how he looks 3 hours later if he hasn't had a drink or anything to eat.
