Limond-Watson results

Post by ftpromotions »

Anyone have the complete results from this show in Scotland tonight? I heard Limond won on pts, but how about the undercard?

Also, anyone know how Willie looked coming off the Khan loss?

Thanks,'

Michele

Yeah the major result from that show looked to be McNeil L KO Rnd 1

I know his brother posts on here so he might be able to give us some more info.

Big shock that one!

willie limond Wupts V martin watson over 12 rounds. badru lusambya V gheorge danut - draw michael gomez wpts V baz carey kenny anderson wrtd4 V dean walker kris carslaw wpts V david wakefield s.r russell wpts V shaun walton jason hastie wpts V robin deakin david mckenna wpts V lee mountford stevie weir wpts V ernie smith. It was a very good night and some atmosphere with it being a sellout. main event lived up to expectation, being fought at a very high pace. willie came close to stopping watson a couple of times but martin as hard as they come hang in there although the result was never in doubt it was an exciting fight with willie winning with scores of 119-111 119-109 118-110 :TU:

Sounds like a very entertaining show.

Was the draw with Danut a fair one? That Romanian is becoming very tricky and pushes everyone.

Yeh it was a fair result, both had there moment's, Limond Watson was a great fight credit to both of them, Kenny Anderson destroyed Walker they need to step him up he's far to good for that level, now 6-0 (all ko's), Really good well run show.

don't know what fight you were watchin, as watson never looked like getting stopped and the scoring was a lot closer than given. Limond was shattered from the 7th and held on for most of the last rounds, although had a good 11th.

disagree with you mate a fot willie was the 1 forcing the fight mostly and the first 2 rounds watson was caught with some clean punches that made his knees buckle and hold on but to his credit came back also fot the scores were spot on

Hopefully the footage of these fights becomes available somewhere. Love to look at who's coming through in Scotland. Thought the Ugandan would be a great addition to the local boxing scene. Maybe he still will and was just caught offguard by the dangerous Danut.

Last chance it seems for Gomez now to make something of his talent. Got to believe he has an upset win in him!

Good show

Post by beyko83 »

Excellent promotion by these guys at braveheart, a lot of entertainment, and tjheir shows will only get better

Limond and Watson was the fight of the show plenty of action and although I had Willie clearly winning most rounds were closely contested

Had danut beating lusambya four rounds to two. competitive little fight the romanian had a bit better activity i thought

Anderson looked great in winning but he needs a step up now i think he beats everyone domestically and may need to look to british & commonwealth titles in future until hes challenged

lots else on the card too

Good fight, but Watson was never ever troubled buring the fight, he did take some hefty blows but came through them well, great chin. Wullie won well, although I would have given Martin a couple of more rounds. Martin pressed the WHOLE fight, but Wullie was a little too clever for him. I'd back Wullie if he fought Khan again, looks a lot more comfortable in his own abilities.
