That great Joe Frazier was a train, relentless competitor. He just did not stopped punching. He was scary.
Quarry hit him with some shots and Frazier did not even flinch. I also got to admire the toughness of Jerry Quarry. Too bad that he was in a difficult era to become Heavyweight World Champion.
Jerry was UPSET that the doctor stopped the fight. He still felt that he could have continued. But, I think, IN A WAY, was a good stoppage.
This fight was 1969 The Ring Magazine Fight of the Year.
