Calzaghe vs. Hopkins - Who is prepared to go out on a limb?

Post by Maelstrom »

OK guys... I know we have a prediction thread on this and we have been calling the outcome in other threads, but I want to cut through the BS.

No sitting on the fence, no caveats, no 'what ifs'... I want to hear from people who feel strongly about this fight either way. Let's seperate the men from the boys.

If you are prepared to go out on a limb, call it here.

For me, it's Calzaghe by wide points decision. Hopkins to be schooled.

I want Hopkins to win but he won't unfortunately, I reckon 116-112 for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe, TKO or wide decision. Calzaghe's a different class and Hopkins is over rated and limited. One thing Hopkins can be glad of...he'll be involved in an exciting match unlike normaly...purely because Joe will be slaughtering him non-stop.

Joe by majority decision. To most people, and 2 of the judges, it will be a clear 3-4 point victory, but the crazy third judge will score it a draw. Hopkins will claim he won the fight!

Good to see so many confident Calzaghe fans in the house. A true British world class fighter to bring it home.

Maelstrom,

I have gone out on a limb and been at pains to state my case:

The judges will spoil this fight.

It will be an SD or a draw - thats not sitting on the fence - just the way I see it.

No contest. Fight stopped on cut/headbutt with Calzaghe in the ascendency.

As I said mate... too much fence sitting there.

This is a thread for people who feel strongly either way. Just wanted to see the wood for the trees...
