Dib vs. Linares is OFF

Post by AntonS »

Maybe it was never really on?
Dib is now fighting Filipino Leon Maratas on Billy Hussein's May 16 show & Linares is defending his WBC title against Feider Viloria in Mexico on May 31

Our Billy was lucky to win his last fight against a journeyman who walked up all night. Dib spent too much time in that fight acting the lair and back tracking.

The Dibster needs to lift his ring work rate if he progress further overseas.

if that is to happen, he needs to change the way he has boxed his entire pro career. I really don't believe he is smart enough to do that. I reckon he may end up an emanual augustus parody. Hope he proves me wrong.

Linares is fighting no. 80 rated super bantamweight Feider Viloria instead. Two fights ago Viloria was stopped in 5 by no 33 rated super-bantam Antonio Escalante. Viloria's most outstanding feature is that lately he has been knocked down even in the fights he has won. Believe it or not, it is a title defence.

Looks like Linares wanted an easy fight.
