Khan's next opponent
Khan's next opponent
So, its scheduled for birmingham in June.
Who do you think he will be facing.
This guy maybe: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer I'm sure that the ITV crew would play up the guys many years of experience...
Anyway, joking aside, who do you think they will go for?
Can't really see any potential opponent on the domestic scene- possibly Thaxton, but I can't see it, to be honest
Do you think they would have the guts to book him against somelike like Katsidis? Again, can't see it.
So- an "interesting" one.
Main support on that bill is Paul Smith V Steve Bendall- Probably they will also include a WBU " world " title fight on that bill too, or maybe not.

He should fight Limond!!!!
The way that fight ended was not satisfactory!
That would be good. Melero is fast and slick. Also could be for the EBU title vacated by Romanov.Twinkle Toes wrote:I think if it was going to be for a proper world title, it would be in his home town. So i'm guessing another fight against someone we don't know much about.

I think it's a tricky situation now Khan has got ranked bythe WBO highly. Khan and his family seem to want the world title shot, naively in my opinion. Warren knows Khan needs more developing - but here's the bad thing - he prob can't bring in opponents that will test and prepare Khan. Because any fight made now will just be to protect the WBO rating.
also ranked at 4 by the WBC and 6 in latest ring magAutobarn wrote:That would be good. Melero is fast and slick. Thaxton had that horrific cut against Romanov, there's no way he could fight then.whicker wrote:So, its scheduled for birmingham in June.

Well using th tried and trusted 'Khan't' formula as follows, we should deduce whom the next bum will be :-
A) They will need to be young and have a KO ratio of less than 10.
OR
B) Old and clapped-out and then (and only then) will they be allowed more than 15+ KO's
OR
C) They will allow both A) youth + B) power, so long as the guy is a featherweight maximum.
You will not see a full sized, young and powerful lightweight for a few years yet.

I think that's what makes it interesting for me. Urbano is a SERIOUS banger.steve689 wrote:His bodyshot KO of Bobby Pacquiao was sickening! Be nice to see Henry Castle getting some exposure, though, if he's on the short list.
