A Young Dempsey was fighting out of West Oakland circa 1905.

You are correct(as usual) Mike. This Young Dempsey is originally from Salt Lake. 2-17-1919 article said he had decided to go into the boxing game. Can provide the article if needed.
Need to separate. Can use Salt Lake as his original residence or Seattle where he worked in a shipyard before going into boxing.
You can separate this can't you Mike?

Follow up. I also show the other Young Dempsey had fights in 1906, 1907 & 1908. Will be entered. Arrested in 1907 for robbery. Wife battering charges brought against him in 1908. Nice guy.

Oops. Sorry. Disregard my info on the last five fights for Young Dempsey.
The info pertains to the 1923 & 1924 Dempseys not those 5 fights.
