I was at the fight and it looked like a legit kd to me - what was it like on TV?

Lazcano threw a punch...so it could of been called a KD, obviously Hatton was not hurt tho.

I knew he wasnt hurt - but from where I was it was the force of the punch combine with Hattons weight being on his heels that led to the kd - therefore technically a legit kd.

I'm not sure it was possible to call it a knockdown, because the reason Hatton went over was definately losing his footing rather than the punch.

I was streaming it in, so it was difficult to see whether the punch even landed, despite the high quality stream.

However, even if it did land, it was not the punch which caused Hatton to hit the deck.

That being said, I suspect in the olden days they would have called it. For instance, does anyone remember seeing Ken Buchanan's early knockdown against Duran in the Garden?

so if Lazcano hadnt have thrown a punch Hatton would have fallen over??

1.45 in, looks to me like the Lazcano left hook missed completely, only the angle of the ref stepping across made it look like it played any part in the slip.
