Chris Bacon is the spokesman for KO promotions, is that the ex boxer?

Looking at the site i see they do white collar boxing nights, has anyone took part in any of these?
not just in that area of the country but anywhere, whats the matchmaking like at those shows? would you get fed to the lions if like me you've not boxed for 16 years, i only had a handfull of bouts and wouldn't mind having a look at this white collar lark.
Wouldn't want to get in the ring with a youngster who'd tear me a new one though :D
I'm coming up to 37 and have lost alot of weight, so the thought has entered my head to have a look at this

I'm pretty sure Stegsie who posts on here for VIP Promotions has done some White Collar boxing, so it could be worth speaking to him.

Why not? 37 isn't old? I'm coming up to 37 and the last thing that would be a factor in fighting someone in my opinion is the
other guys age.

You can fight (or box in this case) or you can't - if a guy is 22 years old and can't box - he won't win, if you are 37 and can box - and in shape - you are going to be hard to beat.

Or has the second George Foreman era (1987-2000) and the lessons learnt bypassed us all?

Then again - a lot of 36 years old guys smoke and drink and have done since they were teenagers - in a lot of cases
that is 20 odd years smoking and drinking which I suppose can take its toll on the body - so I suppose it is down
to the individual.

In that regard I have been lucky! :box:

Would they let pro's or decent amateurs fight in it tho?
Surely they must if the title of hardest bouncer is gonna be awarded

First I have heard about it mate, drop them a line - there is always last minute pull outs with these
kind of events - especially with 16 fighters! :TU:

Exactly most doormen can't fight to save there lives, esp in a boxing situation where bear hugging is not allowed

He isn't tall is he? However he is as wide as a double decker bus and as dangerous as one with Keanu
Reeves behind its wheel! Even at 60 - he is not a guy you would trifle with!

You're not wrong there! Even though he wasn't a bouncer, the bar that he worked on (a Yates Wine Lodge) never had any trouble.

This is ridiculous. What had boxinggot to do with britain's hardest bouncer? THey should do cagefighting....

OR maybe more realistically they could drag a drunken guy they outweigh ny 3 stone in the car park and see how can bash him into unconsciousness fastest

Wot about that Dominic Negus guy? ( think that was his second name )

Read his book not to long ago , dunno if he was the hardest but he certainly liked a scrap when he was working the doors.

Anyone know wot hes upto now?? I thought i saw him at a recent boxing match working as security....... i believe he mentioned doing that in the book if i remember correctly.

It was an intersting read though , found it quite entertaining. Especialy reading about the Audley Harrison fight lol
