Tongan hwgt Samson N'Gata

Post by Palais »

This guy has a strange record. And a strange Alais; Tangi Manu.
He was going Jo-Jo between the states and Australia/Pan Pacific in the 80's.
F.ex; 1980-05-14 Ron Draper, L pts 6, Las Vegas
1980-05-16 Gary Fuller, W TKO 3, Wollongong, AU

It's possible to make it with the next flight, but.....???

Is this Tongan boxer, always named Samson N'Gata listed in any record book of the early 80's?

Do you have it?
:-?

The name Samson N'Gata looks familiar so I think the name popped up a couple of times (spelled differently) in RRB 1983 on several records. I can't find it right now, but I'll tell you when I run into it again.
By the way, on the recent Maik Krol subject, in Maik Krol's record in RRB 1983 there's a 2nd round KO over Horst Lang on both 6-29 and 9-1-1980, in Lang's record there's just the 9-1 fight. Here at Boxrec there's a 6-29 fight for Krol against Lang and a 9-1 fight against RICHARD Seydock (who should be the TOMMY Sydok you mentioned).
I guess there was only the 9-1 fight for Krol against Lang ( just another double entry in RRB ) won by a 2nd round KO in Rotterdam, and on 6-29 Krol won against Seydock in Den Bosch. So the Lang and Seydock fights should be switched on Krol's record.
