My scores for the CLOSE Larry Holmes bouts

Yes I am a Larry Holmes fan. Yes I am no doubt biased. BUT...
I have sat down and watched the fights and scored them, doing
my best to be unbiased. I shall watch these fights again no
doubt and come up with different scores, but here they are
for those who care.

Holmes vs Spinks 1 - 143-143 draw

Holmes vs Spinks 2 - 144-141 Holmes

Holmes Vs Williams - 145-143 Holmes

Holmes vs Fergusson - 96-96 Draw

Holmes vs Norton - 145-141 Holmes

I hav not scored Maurice Harris fight yet and I can not
seem to find the score I had for the Witherspoon fight (sorry).

I don't have my exact scorecards for those fights.

However, I remember thinking Holmes beat Witherspoon fairly decisively, around nine rounds to six, maybe even 10-5. I was actually surprised to see so much controversy around it.

I had Holmes beating Norton exactly 8 rounds to 7.

I thought Spinks beat him fair and square in their first fight, maybe around 9 rounds to 6, or even 10-5.

I thought Holmes probably edged the rematch, let's say around 8-7 or 8-6-1. I thought the decision for Spinks was a bit questionable, but not a blatant robbery like some believed. I wouldn't have argued with a draw.
