Post by Marlin »

Who would you choose to be in an Australasian version of The Contender? Say it is for blokes around 170lbs.

Is it really fair to put Porky in it? It means you know the winner before it even begins...

They should have it in the lower weight divisions at like 65 kilos or something, :D
But only if Zappa will fight at that weight lol, id like too see him fight Michael Hatwell or Oyewale Omotoso as they are big hitters too or maybe around 60 kilos so Zappa can fight Kickett on there.

Heard the mail earlier in the year that the contender series was downunder, even heard Les Sherington was signed up to try out.

Going on the mail, ESPN2 dropped the series and Sugar Ray ensured that a rival Network was willing to pickup where they left off.

It will be Between middle to Light Heavy, as thier is an abundance of prospects floating around.

This show is nessecary for boxing.

Zappa is a Lightweight and is 20 YO, no need for him to chase a 2/0 Light heavy Michael Hatwell LOL, the Difference being almost 20 Kilo' or 44 pounds, kind of makes a mismatch LOL, but anyhow LOL, you know what i mean LOL./

I believe that this moted "Contender" series is a pipedream as we don't have enough capable cattle around to make up the numbers.

Yes!!!! Put Taylor in there. He can talk all he likes about being world champ and all that other shit as he does now - but THEN he'll have to fight someone worthy of a challenge!!!!!!!!!!! I like the idea, because that idiot needs to put up or shut the fornicate up!

(Sorry, shitty customer at work has made me shitty, therefore shitty mood post!)
