Gary Lockett's article on BBC 606
Re: Gary Lockett's article on BBC 606
Garry is a nice intelligent guy, he may have fallen out of love a bit with fighting himself, but he is a real boxing man.
Re: Gary Lockett's article on BBC 606
He's done another article on the same site, inviting comments as to whether he should continue boxing or retire:

So Warren has done well enough by him for him to have his own businesses. Cant argue with that
The WBU being worth double the British Belt despite it being 1/1milionth of its stature is unfortunate but he has all his faculties and is set up nicely
Retire. There is nothing more to do

I would like to see him go for the British title or fight someone like Smith or Barker.
But if he wants to retire then it is up to him.

Well if he does decide to carry on, if I was coaching any of the top ten in the Country I would be gunning for him.... his heart has gone, desire has gone... if they could take his power they'll break him.
Not a dig at Lockett's ability or his heart normally.... its just if he is asking the fans should he continue - well he should know what the answer is.

I don't think he will fight again unless his mind is right, he is too proud a man not to be 100%, he won't fight as cannon fodder
