Audley bout rescheduled!

Thursday, July 31 2008

Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison will now face Martin Rogan on September 6 at the M.E.N Arena. The pair had been due to meet in Birmingham in July, but the fight was resceduled. "I'm delighted that the Rogan fight has been rearranged so quickly," said Harrison. "I'm looking forward to getting my career back on track, and defeating Rogan will be the perfect way of signalling my intentions."Alex Arthur's WBO World Super-Featherweight title defense against Nicky Cook tops the card in Manchester along with Amir Khan's defense of his Commonwealth lightweight titleAlso on the card are Paul Smith in an English middleweight title challenge against Steve Bendall, Steve Foster Jr in an English super-featherweight title challenge against Femi Fehintola, Matt Macklin in a 10 rounder, plus Matthew Hall, Steve Bell, Anthony Crolla, Denton Vassell and Stephen Smith.

Ahaaaaaaaa so Audley didnt go mad because he found out Terry Dunstan was training Rogan.....and the original bill wasn't called off because of an undercard fight falling through and actually fell through because the main event (Enzo Mac) got dropped on account of Enzo getting a better opportunity.

Ohhhhhhhhhh there's me being a conspiracy theorist.

Im glad this fight is back on, I expect Audley to win easy enough, but then again Rogans
a game and tough and hard hitting fighter, none of which spell good news for Audley, but
he certainly has the skills to beat Rogan, but then again we all know Audley has the skills,
its confidence and lack of heart that are his problems, something Rogan has an abundance of.

Not a bloody chance. If you want to throw money away, at least give it to the dogs' home or something, do something worthwhile with it.

Any puncher that gets in with Audley has more than a chance, harrison has every thing going for him except one major thing HEART

He could do worse than win this and then enter the Prizefighter tournament. No, I'm not joking.

rogan is big enough not be intimidated by audleys size....

not bothered about terry dunstan whoever the hell he is  ...basically the left hook is the diller punch... rogan has to rough audley up inside

this is a 50 - 50 fight

will still be a massive upset if rogan wins tho

I don't see it as a 50-50 fight. Rogan's a big underdog in my eyes.

Rogan isn't anywhere near the puncher that people here are making out.

There's a world of difference between the way in which Audley lost and the way Rogan would lose to Sprott tho isnt there. Your acting like Audley took a 10 round beating before getting KOd, Audley was winning the fight at the time of the stoppage. You know full well everyone on here over-reacts to anything that happens to Audley, I mean did you hear the commentator for the Barnett fight, when Barnett landed one punch (the one punch he landed all fight) he nearly came.

I honestly think rogie stands a decent chance of winning this one. He is not a pleasent fighter, he knows how to rough them up and put them off their game plans, Marty Rogan is my bet for this fight, again still depends on what A-Farce shows up on the night but my money is on a Rogan win.

I haven't placed the bet again since the bout was re-scheduled, I did have £50 on Rogan for a win (no other conditions). The monay was refunded due to the charge of dates and now i will again place that £50 and possibly a few quid more (not decided yet) from other bets that came up a while ago.

Years ago a put a few spare quid in to a betting account and only play/bet with it, never losing money I need to feed the kids etc. Last time I put £100 on Rogan for Prize Fighter at 9-1 before the draw was made. I am up at the minute so I'll probably place the £50 and then possiblt more closer to the date depending on how a few more bets do.

What price did you get Gareth and where, interested in a couple of quid myself on this one.

Thanks
