It has been officially announced that the junior welterweight unification bout between Ricky Hatton and Paulie Malignaggi will be on November 22 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Tickets go on sale Friday.

just wanna see malignaggi beaten up tbh.

saw a dead ringer for malignaggi walking thru me local shopping centre the other day.

Although it's not a Super Fight, it's a very big fight for the Welterweight division. The number 1 against the number 3 (according to Boxrec).

Thought I was the only one who fancied Malignaggi, good to see I am not on my own. Have won a few bob on Boxing this year so have played some of it up on Paulie. I have £140 at 11/4 with Sky bet and (now this will sound crazy I know) I have £30 on Paulie stoppage in 7-9 at 33/1` and £30 on Paulie stoppage
10-12 at 33/1.

The way I see it is if Malignaggi is to win he has to land plenty on Hatton and despite the fact he does not hit hard by most standards, if he is landing enough to be winning the fight not sure Ricky's punch resistance is what it was say for the Tszyu fight when he took everything.

Just think this is much closer than many feel and hence thought I better put my money where my mouth was.

I had Malignaggi winning both of those fights(just!) so yeah I do rank him no2.

I think the deciding factor will be Paulie's hands. I thought his hands were cured, but obviously after his last fight they aren't. I too fancy the underdog in this. If doesn't break his hands, he could stop him.

What some people don't realise is that he's had hand problems since his tenth fight, and they weren't fixed properly until just before the Cotto fight. And don't forget he wobbled Cotto in the early round in that fight.

Tommy Hearns(you heard of him?)...got KO`d off some "solid" opponents aswell so i guess thay means Tommy was only fighting them for the money...of course he was you plank i`s called boxing.

Just to make it clear, if by beating Hatton, it doesn't make you a good fighter, then surely you must regard Hatton as pretty poor, and the people Ricky has beaten must worse yeah?

Hatton is a very good fighter, don't get me wrong, but he is hardly something special, or the Legend some of his die-hard fans make him out to be. He did one good thing, and that is do what many British fighters dont like doing, that is going Prime for Prime against the best, that was against Mayweather. We all know what happened then.

The hispanic causin panic is well known by most of those who follow the sport...his fight againt Castillo is a good un...Lazcano was no bum.

To answer the substantive question, yes, I'll go. Can always find a business reson to schedule a Thursday business meeting in LA, and if I'm going to be so close.....

Be interesting to see if they schedule the Calzaghe v Jones fight a week before and after. If so, its a great little New York/Vegas trip (I'm not bigging up the merits of the fight, merely the date and location)
