I left the video taping SETANTA ufc - NOTHING TAPED!

This is the 3rd time.

A previous UFC and now last nights UFC. I have the full Setanta on SKY Digital so not the freeview.

PLEASE NO SPOILERS AS I AM WATCHING THE UFC TONIGHT!

I had same prob with Setanta on sky digital - ended up having to get an engineer out who replaced my box and now all is well.

Very strange that it was only setanta that wouldnt work - couldnt have anything to do with them being a direct and emerging rival to sky sports could it?...

Two questions.

1) Are you using a HD/DVD recorder.

2) Have you paid up the Setanta subcription up to date.

Cause I changed my credit card number last month and forgot to inform Setanta so - didn't realise that I wasn't paying subcription (you know they allow you to view for a further month) - somehow when you are at that stage it won't allow you to tape using a HDD/DVD recorder (due to encryption) but will a video.

I phoned Setanta and asked and thats what they said.... it will prevent recording if there is a problem with the bill. Informed them of the error and everything has been fine since.

Something else I discovered if you do use the new generation of SKY boxes, they have an ecological setting that it goes on standby if unused between 11pm and 4am. This caused my live tapings fail. I turned off the setting and it worked.

UFC is repeated at 8pm DG if that's what you missed.
