Holmes TKO of Marvis Frazier is listed on both fighters records as an IBF Heavyweight title bout. It was actually a non title bout scheduled for 10 rounds. If you look up the fight by date it shows that it was a 12 rounder (which anyway would be wrong since the IBF was still sanctioning 15 rounders). Ray Mancini also fought a 10 round nontitle bout that night against Johnny Torres. That one you got right. Look up The Ring December 83.

holmes fight with bonecrusher smith was the 1st ever ibf world hw title fight, not frazier.

this was merely lineal title stuff.
