He's worse than Acelino Freitas.

Who next for the Toon?

O'Leary?

They need someone willing to cut corners with a record for playing attractive football or a new messiah.

So on that basis Shearer is unlikely.

Its a shallow pool.

Redknapp didn't get the right whiff about the place when he went and he was desperate for a big club.

I personally think Wise has the job until Ashley can sell.

Oh dear, oh dear

No time for Keegan tho

I met Keegan a few times while he was managing city, as soon as the camera's were off he was a right pudendum

Anyone else ever hear about when he got picked up by the police in Newcastle in the late 90's with "someone" in his car?

I heard from an ex-city player that if you weren't in the first 11 you didn't exist in Kev's world. Not so much as a nod in the corridor.

Who is this 'someone'?

I think we've all heard that story KG.

Isn't it the reason why he had his head caved in with a bat once?

So the story goes.

But then they used to say Steve Hodge was light on his feet too, hence his multiple transfers.

There was a similar one involving Matt Taylor floating about the coast a few seasons ago when he was at Pompey.

His involved a Pop Idol, though.

I had no idea it was common(ish) knowledge

I was told it by a journalist who made me swear on Spuds life that i'd never tell anyone (outside a boxing forum)

He reckons the police up there follow him about when he's out in his car

Was it the cast of Byker Grove?

Or one of Jossy's 'giants'?

Well she looked rough but if it was Jill Ha'Penny I'll forgive him as she was fully grown. If it was that blond jail-bait who had a top 40 hit with Byker Groove, then he only has himself to blame.

Having said that Ant and Dec always look startled.

It wouldn't be any of Jossy's Giants as they were all looking for Champions League football.

I always remember Steve Coppell walking into Maine Road as there new manager, and walking back out before he got to his desk.

I think the media were still packing up from his welcome speech.

"Ooh eck, this is a big fornicating mess int it?"

Think I'll go back to Palace if thats alright with you lot.

As for Keegan, he's probably been sacked for calling Ashley a two-faced fat-chancer.

Well he can play on either side of defence, or in the hole in front if required.
