worth 15.99?
Hell yes!
Cook v Arthur was class, lovely technical boxing, and nice to see Cook prevail and could maybe go on to be a decent if short reign champ.
Seeing the Khan hype machine derailed in spectacular fashion.
"Eubank, Benn, Hatton, Lewis......Khan!" fornicate off with your piss take pay per view, no spite against Khan at all, its the hype machine that sickened me.
And to cap it all, some of the best booing this side of Alladin for Audley Harrison, there was one guy out there who typified the phrase 'lusty booing.'
I actually bruised my finger doing that finger slapping thing when Bredis decked him, and nearly wrecked my living room jumping around. Eff me, that was actually pretty good value.

Re: worth 15.99?
Ummm yes and no.
I like Khan - and while I am upset he's lost its a bit of a momumental event. Kind of like how I felt after the McBride vs Tyson fight (although that wasn't so momumental).
Cook reign will only last when he is fighting the likes of Foster Jnr, Andy Morris, maybe Kevin Mitchell - but him in with Barrera and he's going to lose heavily.
Audley was crap.... kind of glad I can didn't miss something special from him. He is poor.
Dissapointed that it looks like they are only going to show 3 fights... where was the promise of the good undercard on these countdown shows.

Watched it on a live stream on my 20inch monitor, pretty decent quality, can easily afford to buy it, but thought it was a piss take of a PPV.
I see Khan still being a draw in a Frank Bruno kind of way from now on

Tyson
Lennox Lewis
and big Frank put pain on people when he lost,Lennox Lewis eye was swollen shut after fighting Frank
Frank Bruno is on another Level to Amir Khan
conclusion
Amir Khan is a joke and thats official IMO
Re: worth 15.99?
I'm suprised. I really thought they wouldn't have brought Prescott in if he had a chance of winning.
He looks like some of those guys that turn up in Germany for WBA title fights & give the home fighters hell (i.e. Cordoba, Moreno).
Certainly wasn't worth £15.
Bet Warren has some nice options on Prescott, who handled the occasion well.

Frank is smarter than most people think no doubt, very deviant
Re: worth 15.99?
Prescott will be as bout as successful in the UK box office wise as these following British based (promoter wise) foreigners (at one stage).
Freitas, Barrera, Munyai, Asiku, Tapia, Valuev, Romanov, Juuko, Tontchev, Olusugen.
All good operators - but have really set the world alight with a long stay in the UK.

Maybe Warren was pissed off with Khan for asking for so much money?Autobarn wrote:I'm suprised. I really thought they wouldn't have brought Prescott in if he had a chance of winning.

Re: worth 15.99?
SBO coverage still is not good enough only 3 fights. They could of showed Matthew Macklin, Paul Smith and Matthew Hall fights.
Re: worth 15.99?
watched it for free , why did you guys support this bs ppv?

Re: worth 15.99?
it was worth every penny, i wish i had paid more !!!! :)
Re: worth 15.99?
Khan's career will probably get back on track, and I'll tell you why - just wait for the inevitable excuses!
Khan's KO will only have resulted from one of the following:
(a) He was weight drained - this will never happen again!
(b) The new trainer was a joke, he takes full responsibility, and Khan would never have lost otherwise!
(c) He slipped!
In some ways the fact it was a shock knockout aworks in Khan's favour, because it can also be explained away as being lucky (e.g. Hasim Rachman and Lennox Lewis). However, had Prescott simple dealt out a sustained beating over the course of the fight, and Amir was very clearly not up to it - he'd have no where to go would he.
Khan will be back, fighting some useless fighter, who he'll knock out in a round, and then FW & Co will be going hell for leather trying to put all this into distant memory.
Remember Haye v Thompson???? Look at Haye now.....

Haye got KD against a guy who fights at Super Middle and Mormeck doesn't hit hard either and Haye's legs went to jelly afterwards.Hagler2002 wrote:Loftgroov wrote:

Erm he went down and his legs went to jelly against Mormeck live on Setanta and on BBC for the other guy. He recovered on pure heart.Terry D wrote:Bollocks.Max Molyneux wrote:Haye got KD against a guy who fights at Super Middle and Mormeck doesn't hit hard either and Haye's legs went to jelly afterwards.
Mormeck goes for wearing fighters down, he's not a puncher, Haye hardly avoided his straight rights either yet Is good at head movement.
The first huge punch at heavyweight will have him In trouble, chin Is Important but he doesn't even tighten up his defence to keep It from being too much a problem.
Re: worth 15.99?
I can't believe people are comparing Haye and Khan,
Haye has been wobbled, dropped and stopped by quality opposition unlike Khan. There's nothing wrong with being chinny at top level - more exciting - but getting violently KO'd like Khan did by an unknown fighter is worrying.
