If so it'll be back on the sponge-fisted featherweight bandwagon.

He's going to be extremely gunshy now (justifiably) and anybody with even half a dig will fancy their chances. Accordingly he's got to build up his confidence and the Khan product again. I'd be amazed if he meets anybody of Thaxton's class in the next three fights.

2 sub standard imports followed by Bobby Pacquaio, which at least would have a sellable angle of sorts, albeit akin to trying to sell a Julian Lennon PPV gig.

In short I think he's finished as a contender. I've compared him to Ryan Rhodes in the past, though I think actually he may end up as an Audleyesque joke.

At least A-Force got a gold.

If Amir loses to Prescott twice then his credibility is pretty much completely gone.

Get him moved up to 140lbs and see if his chin slightly improves without the weight draining.

My take...

Move Khan up to Light Welterweight. Blame the Prescott knockout on weight issues. "Making the Lightweight limit was killing Khan".

Umm take him up to Light Welter and get him a non=televised fight against and experienced but not super record fighter, one local lad I can think of is the likes of James Gorman, or Billy Walsh, possibly even Gary Hamilton (Euro, World champion Kickboxer) does box too.

Then a second fight televised on ITV this time for the masses to try and rebuild the fan base, but this time a nice hand picked opponent possibly a real lightweight with a reasonible record, (hard to say who exactly as I can't see him doing this for another 12 months) possibly John Fewkes or John Thaxton in 18mnths.

The third fight you would like to be against Presscot but depending on where Presscot goes now Win the next 5 and grow in the division or lose the next 5 and never be seen again. If Presscot stays at9st9 then I would avoid him and try not to have to fight him again, put a nice PR spin on it. Third fight then if you are still assuming Khan wins the first two needs to be a proper ranked Lightwelter weight boxer but possibly bringing the weight up to Welter now to suit Khan more. For this bout, M'Baye, Laurai or possibly an ageing Branco.

The other option is to fire him in on the 2nd or 3rd bout against Frankie Gavin if he turns Pro in 6mnths, though that depends who you really want to grow as a boxer and if Gavin goes Pro and signs with Warren or an other promoter.

Just my thoughts.

Prescot is a confidence building fight and i will tell you this for a fact if Khan cant beat Prescot he should retire

Khan would be stronger at lightwelteweight,so make the match there and if the fight does not happen that is cowardice on Khans part,the ball is in Amirs court,if Khan wants the respect of the UK public let him earn it by fighting Prescot again,its the only way

He's not comming back and fight for any title in his next fight. It going to be a fight against an
experience 'loser'. If Bredis fight happens again its a least 2-4 fights away.

What's the logic in saying Khan shouldn't risk losing to Murray and, yet, recommending he fight somebody who has just starched him in 50 seconds and, by the looks of things, is an infinitely bigger puncher than Murray? Yep, you'll say that he'd be taking on, and going for revenge, against the fighter who beat him, but that was a drubbing.

Whatever, my money is on Khan losing to either Prescott or Murray.
