Re: Lightweight British Ranking top 5?
Thaxton is no1.
I think Murray would beat him, but the fact remains he's active and Romanov aside was cleaning up the domestic scene.
Plus he fights for the European title next again..

he's beat more top ten british lightweights than all of them
Re: Lightweight British Ranking top 5?
Khan and Thaxton have both beaten 3 top 10 British Lightweights recently, or 2 if you had Lawton outside the top 10.sweetscience wrote:prescott aside khan was cleaning upG0mez wrote:Thaxton is no1.

Of course if we're looking over a full career Thaxton has beaten way more.
I'd have:
Murray
Thaxton
Khan
Limond
Gethin
If Limond had of been more active recently and had got that win against Earl plus another I'd of considered putting him above Khan, afterall Khan should of been counted out agaist him.

Re: Lightweight British Ranking top 5?
the lightweight divison is 100% there for the taking by Murray
but.... i dont think we can give him the Number 1 spot by default, he needs to step up first

They really need to fight it out. Is Lee McAllister dropping back down to lightweight?
Re: Lightweight British Ranking top 5?
British lightweight scene is very weak at the moment even though there's some good domestic matchups available I can't see any of them winning a world title unless it's some kind of paper WBO/WBU type of title.
Anyway
1. Thaxton
2. Murray
3. Khan
4. Limond
5. Gethin
Not one of them stands out and I think they are all capable of beating each other.
