Even if the contest was in the offing I couldnt see it getting close to PPV status to be honest David.

It would be akin to offering Pavlik v Lockett on a PPV basis - a complete non starter.

Enzo Mac lost his world title and was comprehensively beaten
Joe Calzaghe has split with Warren
He's also lost Derry Mathews and Ryan Rhodes
Now Khan has been embarrassed on PPV

Nicky Cook is his only 'world' title holder and lets face it, Nicky Cook is a WBO title holder, not a world champion.

As much as I like Jennings he just isn't PPV material, very few casual fans would have heard of him.

I know but perhaps if they clubbed a good undercard. Jennings v Williams, Cook v Arthur II, Khan v (former light flyweight title holder), Audley v Rogan then it could have the potential to be PPV. But like I say, Williams is moving up, so that's that one gone. And gladly.

Brook vs Jennings - WBO interim title.

Cook vs Mitchell - PPV.

Skelton vs Harrison PPV (undercard to Cook vs Mitchell).

Dean Francis' stock has risen with the WBO - watch a shit load of "eliminators" occur with him.

I agree with this, PPV is a no no. Don't go kicking SN while they are down just yet, all promotors go through bad patches where they have lost on their investment. But boxers come and go, FW is better at this game than anyone else in the country and he will still be able ply his trade and just potter along until the next potential superstar comes his way.

PPV is obviously out of the equation for a few years but the Olympics couldn"t have happened at a better time for Sports Network.For Amir Khan 4 years ago there"s a James Degale now,especially with Hayemaker promotions supporting Degale"s big rival George Groves.Even with Amir"s obvious flaws its taken this long for Khan to be properly exposed,so the next few years could be spent building up Degale in a similar fashion with Gavin in a supporting role on the undercard,presuming that they are both going pro some time soon.
