Despite getting wiped out on his American debut I still like the look of John O'Donnell.

He might lack the weight of shot to get beyond domestic contention but he has some lovely skills..

Selkirk v Vassell was grusome in the ABA's how vassel got through that 1st (maybe 2nd round) was unbelieable

Yeah, proper one-sided. Selkirk went on to lose to Brett Flournoy, who was ironically defeated by Vassell a year later.

Selkirk-Agogo in the Winter 06 ABA's was awesome. Selkirk forcing a stoppage with a second to remain. That fight is doing the rounds on You Tube.

O'Donnell is better than vassell IMO. Vassell's good enough and solid I think JOD would box rings round him

but Cox is better IMO.

I like O'Donnell as well. He has a lovely style and is a little bit different from the other welterweights. Having said that anyone who saw him get starched in Las Vegas will know there are still question marks about his punch resisitance. The Young Mutley fight on 1 November is a massive one for him, Mutley has a wicked left hook and is still very hungry. I think a lot of questions will be answered about how good O'Donnell really is when he steps in the ring against this former British champion.
