Johnny Indrisano

My great grandfather was a boxer with little power based out of Boston, MA named John Indrisano. He found in the late 20's through early 30's in the Welterweight division compiling a record of 32-2. He had victories over former champs Jackie Fields and Lou Broussaird (sp?) according to this site (and family legend ).

I was wondering if anyone would know where I could find more information about him or fighters during this era? I saw that he had a win over JAckie Fields during his Welterweight title run yet was not awarded the title? Was this a common occurence during the 30's? I apologize for my ignorance about this period of boxing. Any help would be unbelievably appreciated.
