Spencer Fearon just left a message on Facebook.

Come on Boxrec, book your place at the fundraiser and/or donate!

Guys I am over the moon to let you all know that I ahve recived two more donations this morning in the post.

One - A Muhhamad Ali Biography by Thomas Hauser

This book is signed by Ali himself and was signed in 1991.

It is in mint condition and I cannot believe that the boxing fan that sent it has given it up to someone he doesnt even know so that it can raise some money for him.

Second - A truly generous boxing fan has posted me a set of stamps. They are of Ali once again, and are unused and in mint condition.

What makes these stamps so rare is that they are from MANAMA in BAHRAIN.

The inscription is in ARABIC and it reads 'Our all time greatest, ALI'

They are from 1971 and as i say they are unused and in mint condition.

I have also recieved two signed boxing gloves direct from Barry McGuigan he also added a signed picture to that package. Barry is the only person from the pro boxing game to post anything for the auction to date.

I will keep you posted on when and how these items will be sold but photos will be available on Gilly's page today.

I ahve also had two cheques that I am going to forward onto Gilly.

God Bless

Lou, is there any chance of setting up a charity website for Gil? I haven't seen my cheque book since 1986 and really want to make a donation? This one's pretty good:

HI Hon

Thats so kind of you but I am sure you will understand that I would rather not deal with cash, It gets a bit complicated etc. I understand that maybe hard for some but like I say I dont do cash if it isnt mine.

Bless You though, I will be talking about the auction this week so maybe once that is sorted you can place a bid on one of the items ?
