According to the info presently on BoxRec, Hartford Heavyweight Ollie Wilson died sometme in 1972. His last fight was in September of that year against Jimmy Ellis, narrowing his murder to the last 3 plus months of 1972, if that year is right. Does anyone have more specific details? I believe I have seen (either on this site or another) that he was 44 when he died, but the same source has him born in 1933, with makes the 1972 death impossible.
Also in 1972, does anyone remember a boxing book/collection of essays which included one about the deaths of Zora Folley and Eddie Machen in that year. I read it years ago but cannot find it now.

Heavyweight Jimmy Ellis handily defeated ageing 40 year old Ollie Wilson in a bout called after five rounds.
Ellis, 32, of Louisville, Kentucky had piled up a 134 to 40 score on the electronic scoreboard when referee Don Gonzales halted the contest at the St. Josaphat Hall in suburban Parama.
If that's right that gives him a year of birth of 1931 or 1932.
