hatton v cotto

Post by bbjc »

Get it on would be a great fight

everybody goes on about cotto but he looks vulnerable as fack

seen him being rocked a few times at 140 then went to 147 struggled against judah then mosley lost to margarito agree he is a class act however hatton has a great chance.

hatton career path cotto at 147 if he wins get mayweather in dont think anybody will beat him but hatton would have nothing to lose.

Not interested in de la hoya or paquiou at that weight get oscar to fack hes had his day.

people are saying hattons no good at 147 would have no chance up there however hes only had 2 fights there collazo an off night in my opinion against an underated opponent then mayweather who is in a league of his own if were honest when in my opinion hatton was in great shape people are looking into the fact floyd stopped him but a fighter like hatton will always get stopped because they go all out for it.

No one in 140 for hatton he would have too much for witter bradley and even judah who is finished as a a+ fighter what could have been. Only wasting fights against these guys.

Not seen last night fight yet but hearing it was a great performance

definetely pay for hatton v cotto

The Cotto of early-mid 2006 would have lost to Hatton, but I doubt Hatton would last the distance at 147, Cotto is just so much stronger as a welterweight.

Hatton is too much of an open target for Cotto methinks, and he hasn't got Margartio's chin to walk through it and grind him down. I'd say Cotto in about 6-8, would be good while it lasted though.

Hatton would not fight Cotto.

Cotto is strong - hungry and a puncher.

Hatton prefers Small - old and preferably with no punch.

Cotto wouldn't have much trouble with Hatton at 147 lbs, imo, and there's no way Cotto would go back down to 140 lbs.

Before last nights fight I would have said the same thing - not so sure now - Hatton impressed me last night and he does like to bully his opponents - it really is going to take an opponent who is fast with both hands to trouble him!!!

Cotto would outbox and batter Hatton with bigger, straighter, heavier punches. Hatton's only chance would be Cotto either fading or having a china chin momement that he has. Won't happen

Definitely agree. Hatton's strength is that he can out-tough an opponent and there's no way he would be able to do that against Cotto. Hatton would take some savage shots.

Cotto vs Hatton = Brain damage for Hatton

Agree cotto is stronger at 147 but the fact remains he can be hurt at any weight

In the 5 or 6 fights at 147 he has lost one been rocked against judah struggled against mosley add that to the 3 or 4 fights he was hurt at 140 against average fighters.

Cotto is a class act however there is a good deal of hype around him he seems to get excused regardless at 140 it was the weight at 147 mosley and judah are great then margarito is an animal. Margarito has lost 5 fights much like pavlik boxing fans have selected these 2 cotto and pavlik as the future of boxing however recent events have shown they may not be as good as they have been thought to be therefore instead of admitting they have been wrong these 2 seem to get excused regardless.

Certain fighters dont seem to get the same treatment every weakness gets analyzed.

The fighters at the top always get questioned however the ones on the way up are excused regardless why is this.

Not saying hatton would definetely beat cotto however there is fack all to be scared of in my opinion would be a good option for hatton at the present time

Dont believe the hype

Hatton Isn't strong enough to do what Margarito did. Hatton's as easy to hit as Marg but Is physically Inferior.

I don't think either Hatton or Cotto Is elite In the boxing world though.

I consider elite being in the upper echelon in their respective divisions, so I completely disagree with you.

who is elite world class would be interested to know there is not that many fighters that are standing out at the minute as truely elite the only fighter in my opinion that is/was untouchable is mayweather much like roy jones junior before him.

Every other fighter out there can be beaten

DG give it a break witter was never world level credit where credit is due

I said Hatton does not want to fight the best.

Hatton is a b level fighter. He is a good fighter, but not a level and NOT always seeking the best challeges.

FACT.

Outside of PBF

Show me 1 A level fighter.

At 147 Cotto would definetly be stronger, but he can be worn down - Margarito won because he was able to keep going long enough where his physical assets enabled him to overwhelm Cotto.

Hatton couldn't take the punishment Cotto did - but he also has better boxing skills than Margarito - I think he would push Cotto hard, but I still think Hatton wins.,

Its LIGHT WELTER.

A division lacking in marquee fighters since Mayweather - Cotto and Judah left it.

All in the definition, eh? It sounds like you consider elite as being someone who looks unbeatable.

Here's the dictionary definition:
The best or most skilled members of a group
Is Hatton one of the best or most skilled Light Welterweights in the World right now?
