You've got to root for the little guy. He's the one in danger here after all.

I actually don't mind - I just want boxing to be the winner. I don't want to see a walk over, I want to see a competitive fight.

I love Pacquiao also..... just nobody seems to be debating his greatness yet cause he still has some miles to go in his career.

Until I saw the last episode of 24/7 I wanted Pacman to win. Now I don't think he stands a chance, so have given up. Oh well.

Pacman.

De La Hoya's place in boxing history is set and he's had a remarkable career, but he shouldn't be picking on such small guys especially when Antonio Margarito could and should have been in the opposite corner. What's also ticking me off is these HBO 24/7 programmes where De La Hoya is talking like HE'S the one whose up against it. PLEASE, this is top light-middleweight against a top lightweight.

DLH is up against it in an entirely different way. Pacquiao has nothing to lose in this fight, Defeat could affect DLH's legacy and definately his earning power for 2009 - should he box on.

Pacquiao can get flatterend in a round and lay a good "excuse" about the weight - he would still make Hatton vs Pacquiao the biggest fight at 140.

IMO both fighters places are already set, but if Pacquiao wins - well..... he'll be up there with the very top.

Fair points, but if Juan Manuel Marquez can out box Pacman at 9st 4lbs what's De La Hoya going to do to him with a two stone cushion ?

So he's put on as much weight as he can and still only a pound over Light-welterweight. Full respect to Manny but DLH's holding all the Aces.

I voted ODLH, because it would seem odd to favour him so heavily over the pacman, yet vote against him

The only thing that seems to be put up in Pacquiao`s defence for getting the win is that he may be able to outwork Oscar because he can fight at a hot pace for the full 3mins of each of the 12rnds.

This though will put him in harms way for the full 3mins of the scheduled 12rnds, for a smaller guy to be giving away considerable size and strength his best plan would be to use boxing skills to get in and out .. Pacquiao is a swashbuckling type, he may win the first 2-3rnds, but then Oscar will begin laying some big stuff on him.

Why has Roach agreed to take this fight with ODLH? I can only imagine because of the massive payday, for me, the Pacman has slowed down in the last 18mths, and a defeat as heavy as the one I`m predicting for him may just ruin him.

Weigh in - Pacquiao 142, Oscar 145 - with Roach looking like a hawk. Roach had a very resigned look on his face it must say.

Oscar vs Ricky at 140 - maybe not out of the equation.

I will get up like a mug and watch this novelty.

Not sure who I'd like to win in all honesty. Pacman stepping up through the weights (again) chasing the money, fame and acclaim as opposed to ODLH chasing the ... (well I'm not sure) ... money?

After getting over my incredulity that this fight was ever made and knowing what Pacman brings I would still be surprised if he lasts further than 9 rounds. But there again with ODLH's stamina issues maybe the effervescent Pacman can steal it away if nicks enough rounds in the earlier stages and takes over in the final quarter or third.

After watching the weigh in i WANT manny to win so bad, if it wasn't for the fact he is probably going to make a fortune off the fight i would feel a bit sorry for him. Oscar just looked a bit cocky and smug to me, i hope manny knocks his fu***ng face off.

Freddy reckons manny was actually 145... he's saying the scales were 3lbs over.
