No matter how long he trains and continues to go back to the drawing board, you cant learn to take a punch. His mental strength i think can slightly be developed but still Audley will never live up to the expectation he puts on himself.

Are you really shocked at the criticism he receives?

Audley promised a lot, then failed to deliver in abject fashion.

It wouldn't be so bad if he was a bit more humble & realistic (99.99% of all boxers have lost); even now he insults those who dare to criticise him & that is just plain dumb on his part.

You cannot be a boxer if you are terrified of being hit; you cannot win fights if you don't throw punches & you cannot come back from adversity if you are mentally weak & have no stamina.

I hope that clears up why people are so critical of him.

He deserves a shot as much as Micky Steeds, Mark Krence etc deserved one. It doesn't really matter whether he deserves a shot or not, if he can get a shot then he should take it. I think it would be an interesting match.

Dunno bout that, the Rogan fight was pretty entertaining.

Love him or hate him, Audley being in the other corner gets the fight talked about in the press -- ever see anyone drumming up interest in Micky Steeds or Mar Krence? Or even Michael Sprott or Matt Skelton. Nope.

Audley always has the pantomime villain intrigue with the public.

He got outworked, big deal. He gave the fight away. He hardly got flattened in 51 seconds by the first guy who came at him swinging like other Olympians.

I would have thought he got paid a decent amount because he sells quite a few tickets. I find Harrison fights intriguing and more entertaining than Krence or Steeds fights.

Audley still has a name of the back of his gold medal. If he carries on some promoter might want to put their prospect in with him which would give him a chance to get back up in the rankings. But at this stage what can he seriously hope to achieve after loosing to a gutsy but limited fighter like Rogan? Will be interesting to see if he is dropped from SN. I think he just needs to be thrown in the deep end against a fighter he is supposed to lose against in a sink or swim fight - win and he carries on, lose and he quits. Boystov, Dimitrenko and even a rematch with Dominik Guinn(he had a good win a few weeks back against Bergeron) would be good shouts.
